A piece inspired by Black Birders Week, and by the weekly livestream Self-Isolating Bird Club.

Black Birders Week was established in 2020 to challenge under-representation and overt racism within birding and the experience of nature.

SIBC began during lockdown with the aim of uniting people around a shared passion for wildlife.
